Situated in the beautiful green countryside of Wiltshire in southwest England, the Salisbury School of English has been welcoming international students from all over the world since 1979.

The school is family owned and courses are run in a modernised building that was originally a large family home. The result is an atmosphere of warmth and close personal attention, which all students enjoy.

The Salisbury School of English is recognised by the British Council and is also a member of ARELS, the Association of Recognised English Language Services, which provides a strong guarantee of quality English language training.

The staff employed by the School are all specially trained in teaching English as a foreign language and have extensive experience of teaching learners of all levels, ages and backgrounds both in Britain and abroad.

Accommodation is offered with friendly English host families, in private houses or flats, or in local hotels and guesthouses. All accommodation is regularly inspected to ensure the highest standards of comfort. A welfare officer is also ready to take care of any problems and advise students on all aspects of their stay in England.

The school arranges a year round social programme of varied afternoon, evening and weekend activities. These include visits to London, Bath and Oxford at the weekends, and Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge in the afternoons. Students can also enjoy theatre visits, indoor sports, dance evenings, quiz evenings and a variety of special interest courses.
