Summer Language Courses for Children 7-12 years old
It has long been recognised that children make more rapid progress in their studies when they enjoy what they are doing, and our English language courses for young learners have been devised with this in mind.
Our lively, interactive learning approach means that children are presented with a wide variety of age-appropriate activities, designed to bring the English language to life, cultivate creativity, encourage interaction, build confidence, and effortlessly develop effective comprehension and communication skills.
|
 |
|
|
|
Our ‘spiral learning’ method enables each child to constantly reuse and reinforce what he/she has learnt, thus naturally laying solid foundations on which to build overall competence.
Classes focus on developing the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing – though special emphasis is put on spoken language to help each child develop strong communicative language skills, and build his/her confidence, right from the start. Each lesson is designed to be pertinent to the children’s needs, interesting, varied, lively and fun.
Fun activities, songs, stories, role-plays, language development games and exercises, audio visual aids and multimedia tools form an integral part of our programme. Applied in the appropriate context, they provide an excellent medium through which each child can interact with his/her classmates, practise and consolidate what he/she has learnt before, and further develop his/her comprehension and communication skills naturally and effectively.
FUN is the key to each successful class, as children will respond more positively in a relaxed, happy atmosphere. Our aim is therefore to make the lessons as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, so as to cultivate a positive attitude towards the learning of the language. An invaluable asset that will benefit every child throughout his/her life! |

An exciting programme specially designed to promote the spontaneous and natural use of English, and boost your child’s English skills in a creative and entertaining setting!
The whole programme is aimed at encouraging your child to use his/her English skills in a fun context, while becoming so enthralled in exciting projects that he/she forgets he/she is actually learning and practising English.
Our action-packed Summer Immersion programme is designed around the theme “My holiday in England”. It is organised to mirror a summer camp in England, incorporating not only language learning but also recreational and cultural activities aimed at enhancing your child’s knowledge of England through the discovery of its people, customs, food, tourist sites and aspects of everyday life.
The session is divided into two sections: a lesson section, during which your child lays the foundations for the second section, learning the necessary vocabulary, and putting the language into practice for the different situations; an activity section, consisting of role-play, stimulating activities, including team project work, computer-based tasks, multimedia tools, a journal, as well as games, arts and crafts, and more - all performed in English around the theme, with a key project to be completed by the end of each week.
This comprehensive immersion course is specifically designed to offer your child extended opportunities to re-use what he/she has previously learnt, enabling him/her to reinforce his/her existing language, and to progress at a much faster pace, while having loads of fun and a fantastic summer with a difference!

By combining English language with drama, this programme aims to boost your child’s desire to communicate in more expressive ways, enhancing your child’s English skills in the process.
While playing various roles and having fun, your child will have many opportunities to practise his/her English in different contexts; learn correct pronunciation, rhythm, stress and intonation; and develop his/her interaction and communication skills.
Depending on the age group of the class, this particular course incorporates many varieties of drama: acting out a simple story, using puppetry, role-plays, reciting and dramatising poetry, improvisation, or actually acting out plays.
To add a touch of magic to the fun and excitement, your child will also have the opportunity to carry out an end of summer performance in our specially designed drama room, with the added thrill of seeing his/her action captured on video.
Your child will also learn how to create dialogues; dramatise a story; create stage scenery; design costumes; build props; and much, more…
An exciting and creative way to build your child’s confidence!
