A stimulating programme specially designed to encourage the spontaneous and natural use of Mandarin, and boost your child’s Mandarin skills in an interactive setting!

Our comprehensive Summer Immersion programme is designed around the theme “Let’s Visit China”. It is structured to mirror a holiday in China, incorporating not only language input but also cultural activities aimed at enhancing your child’s knowledge of China through the discovery of its people, customs, food, tourist sites and aspects of everyday life.

The session is divided into two sections: a lesson section, during which your child lays the foundations    for the second section, learning the necessary vocabulary, and putting the language into practice for the different situations; an activity section, consisting of role-play, stimulating activities, including team project work, computer-based tasks, multimedia tools, a journal, and more - all performed in Mandarin with the aim of giving your child a similar experience to that which he/she would have if he/she were to visit the country.

This comprehensive immersion course is specifically designed to offer your child extended opportunities to practice the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, reinforce his/her existing language, and progress at a much faster pace, while having fun!

These courses are designed for students who wish to revise more efficiently and effectively, in preparation for their future examination.

Our Mandarin in Action programme is designed to provide your child with the opportunity to improve his/her conversational skills and fluency, increase his/her self-confidence in Mandarin, as well as practise expressing his/her thoughts and ideas correctly and effectively through a wide variety of interesting and enjoyable communicative activities.

This course is designed for students who are learning Mandarin at an international school and wish to develop their ability to read and write Chinese characters.

• At the basic levels, classes initially focus on a revision of the different types of characters; their origin; the order and orientation in which strokes should be written; strategic ways to best memorise them; and the progressive ability to recognise and read more and more Chinese characters, and then advance to the ability to construct sentences and to read and write short passages.

• At the higher levels, classes focus on enlarging the range of characters (and the words formed with them) that your child can read and write in order to attain sound reading and comprehension abilities, and develop his/her ability to write and acquire greater expressiveness in writing his/her own passages, poems, and stories.

The overall objective being to guide your child from only being able to read the words, to trying to work out their meaning, and ultimately onto completely mastering them.

This course is designed for students who are learning Mandarin at a local school and wish to enhance their knowledge and use of Chinese simplified characters, while building strong reading and writing skills.
Classes have two main objectives:

• to develop your child’s reading skills while at the same time cultivating his/her interest in Chinese literary works, and instilling a desire to pursue further reading;

• to expand your child’s writing skills through the study of contemporary works and the practice of writing essays, poems, or his/her own stories.

• Our comprehensive summer programme is available throughout July and August.

• All of our courses are available 2-5 times weekly, with a choice of several morning or afternoon sessions (see enclosed time-table).

• Classes are organised in small groups of 4-6 students to guarantee plenty of interaction with the teacher and the other students, ensure greater attention to each individual student, and maximise each student's participation and progress.

• We only employ experienced native-language teachers who hold internationally recognised teaching qualification.

• We go a step further than others by only entrusting our Exam Revision classes to teachers with extensive prior exam revision experience and syllabus knowledge ; this produces the best revision results and proves highly effective in helping our students to achieve their full potential.

• All our summer courses are designed to encourage your child to participate actively in class , and to put his/her language skills to practical use in a fun, refreshing environment. The various stimulating activities provide an excellent medium through which your child can reinforce what he/she is learning in class, develop vocabulary, improve pronunciation and communicative abilities, and build confidence.

• Private or Semi-Private Tuition is also available . Lessons can be organised on the day and at the time of your choice (subject to teacher's availability), either at our premises in Central, or in the comfort of your home. We can also help you arrange your own private group
at home .

• We provide end of course progress reports and certificates of achievement.
