The purpose of each spoken English assessment is to determine how well a candidate can understand and speak English within the limits of the relevant grade. Candidates are assessed in general conversation as well as their aptitude to communicate on topics of their own choice. In assessing the candidates' performance, importance is attached to their understanding, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and coherence in the language. Successful candidates are awarded an internationally recognised certificate.

Trinity College Examinations are more of a level assessment than an examination, and as such do not require specific preparation; however this course is designed to guide and help your child to deliver his/her very best on the big day. It is intended to complement and enhance what your child is studying in class, extend his/her vocabulary, and to provide him/her with ample opportunity to practise his/her communicative skills, and increase his/her competence and self-confidence in the language.
