GENERAL CANTONESE - UPPER-INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

Our Upper-Intermediate Level course is designed for students who already have a solid grasp of Cantonese and are confident in using it in everyday contexts. Lessons focus on idiomatic expressions, topic-specific vocabulary, and complex sentence structures , in order to achieve a higher level of proficiency, and develop more advanced conversational skills.

Topics include: Cantonese idiomatic expressions; housing; educational systems and experiences; law and order; banking and finance; the Hong Kong economy; health and nutrition; driving; sightseeing around Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen; selected topics catering to the special needs of the students; and subject matters relevant to Hong Kong current affairs (with excerpts from newspapers and magazines).

By the end of the course, you will be able to deal with more complex everyday issues, with a high degree of confidence, in a wider range of social and business contexts, and to conduct conversations with Hong Kong Chinese on local political, economic, and news events.
